The following are links to helpful resources for using PubMed at WCM-Q and beyond.
Containing over 30 million citations from Medline, life science journals, and more, PubMed is one of the largest databases of biomedical literature in the world. While PubMed's content is focused on biomedicine and health, it also indexes some articles which regard the life sciences, behavioral sciences, chemical sciences, and bioengineering.
PubMed is available for free to the public and is a product of the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), located at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The PubMed database is comprised of predominantly citations and their accompanying abstracts; PubMed contains very few free full-text articles.
The Distributed eLibrary provides the WCM-Q community access to an extensive collection of full-text articles that are integrated with PubMed.
WCM-Q affiliates should access PubMed through the DeLib website to enable additional features such as full-text and remote access to journals.
Go to the DeLib website at http://qatar-weill.cornell.edu/elibrary/ and click on the "PubMed" link under the "Databases and eResources" section.
During hours that chat is monitored, use the box below to chat with a DeLib librarian. Alternatively, contact us via a different method by clicking here.
